little shocking music score... Kang Daniel. - What are you doing?

Just a week ago, Kang Daniel made his solo debut. It is the latest new start among Wanna One members. As everyone knows, the legal dispute with the agency has yet to end, but the court accepted the injunction to suspend the contract, making it possible to engage in independent activities for now. Although it must have been difficult for Kang Daniel to become CEO and establish the company, it must have been a possible decision because he is enjoying the popularity of super stars. There were all kinds of rumors surrounding Kang Daniel after a dispute with his former agency, LM Entertainment, but the important thing is that he has released a solo album and started his second act as a solo artist, and whether he can continue his popularity as Wanna One depends on his future moves.

If he had stayed still with his former agency, he could have released a solo album around February, but it was about five months late. It wasn't long after the court decision, so time would have been tight to prepare the album. The company that was already preparing for the solo album of what direction and color it would be, so I don't think there's anything I can do about it. But I guess it's because I didn't want to keep my fans waiting any longer. Anyway, I don't know anything else, but just looking at the sales volume of the album, I can definitely feel that there are so many fans who still love Kang Daniel.

The first album "Color on Me," which contains the title track "What's the Year," started selling real albums four days after the album was released first, and sold more than 340,000 copies on the first day alone, setting a record that is incomparable for a solo artist. Baekhyun of EXO, who debuted as a solo artist last month, set a new record among all-time solo artists by shooting 380,000 copies in the first three days, and Kang Daniel immediately rewritten the record by selling more than 420,000 copies in just three days until yesterday. Based on these figures, it is estimated that half of Wanna One's popularity was dominated by Kang Daniel. Other members of Wanna One were all popular, but I still feel like I can't say Wanna One except for Kang Daniel.

But compared to record sales, I feel my performance on the music charts is way below expectations. Based on real-time charts, he even ranked second in Melon on the day of his comeback and topped several music charts such as Bugs as a matter of course, but the drop seems to be much bigger than expected as each day goes by. As of now, Kang is ranked 22nd in Melon's real-time charts, 23rd in Genie and 34th in Bugs. It's quite a shame in the rankings that are only a week old, considering that Kang has full support enough to be considered to surpass popular members Jimin or Jungkook of BTS at least at home. In particular, Melon is such an elusive chattel that even if you keep your score that much, the fact that you rank higher than Melon is a new song is that you don't want to be included in the playlist unless you're a fan already. It's not anyone else, it's Kang Daniel.

When I first heard the song, it was a bit shocking. I thought it would be a good song to be ruined except for the Kang Daniel effect. Still, the more I hear, the less bad it seems. The music itself seems to have not been very skilled, but it is also attractive because it is made in a style that emphasizes simplicity. But the problem is that the first few times I hear it, like the whole liver doesn't seem to be working, and I feel like I'm going to put the spoon in a natural place rather than hear it more. Even if you start to feel attracted to the song itself, the stumbling block remains. That Kang Daniel's singing ability sounds pretty bad.

She was the main dancer in Wanna One and also drew the most attention when she appeared in "Produce 101 Season 2" for her masculine and sexy performance. He always rapped instead of singing, and he didn't seem to be an excellent rapper, but he usually made him rap if he couldn't sing, so he seemed to digest his share. However, she made an unexpected choice in her solo debut song, "What Ha-hae," in which she usually sings instead of rapping, and the result is a bit embarrassing to hear. Fans might get angry when they hear it, but it's not too common to feel that they can't sing even in the background, which is exactly the case with Kang Daniel. It's interesting that I can't see the singing ability even though it's still full of machine sounds because the song's style is deliberately boring. If her singing skills are not good enough, she should have done a good job in the second half to make up for it. I think she didn't really consider that.

If the music was so intense and the performance was even more extreme, a lot of that would have been buried even if it sounded like he wasn't good at singing, but since this year's performance is relatively light and understated, I think he's more concerned with his vocals. Of course, if it was a strong performance, it might have felt a little obvious. If you can capture the current atmosphere of Kang Daniel, who made a solo debut, and feel a little different from Wanna One, music like this album is okay, but... But the most important thing is that the feeling of pulling from the beginning is too weak. Personally, I've been looking forward to it since the Divine Channel said it was producing Kang Daniel's solo debut song, but I don't think there's any song that suits my taste. But this time, I felt sad because it was a song of genre and atmosphere that Divine Channel often used.

I've listened to the whole album a few times, and it's generally similar, and I personally liked the fan song I HOPE on the last track the most. Among the songs in the album, it feels brighter and lighter as well as the most popular songs. Among the tracks except the intro, the song was made by Floblo, not a diva channel, so it was my favorite song. But I don't think it was even the title song. The whole album isn't bad, but I don't think there's any track that's strong enough, so I think it's vague. I think I'll compare the title song of Bae Jin-young's group CIX and the album. Then, let's post the song "Movie Star" by CaiX tomorrow.I conclude that it was my debut song that I hope will come out with a song and a performance that will clearly improve Kang Daniel's strengths.
